WIMBLEDON 2018 Grass Tennis • Draws Here! Picks & Sneezes From LONDON
- Updated: June 29, 2018
By Francisco Resendiz
WIMBLEDON Grass. Some say the world’s finest. Oh, I love grass but achoo. I’m allergic to the grass. Why aren’t grass tennis tourneys sponsored by allergy companies? That would be awesome to pick up free samples in “boothland”. How about Sunscreen and allergies remedies? Local honey? Heard once that it works?
Ok. Here we go put on your seatbelt. I’m giving the men’s draw a glance.
Ready.
Hold on.
Wimbledon 2018
First round match ups that caught my eyes:
• Roger Federer Seeded 1st. – Playing Dusan LAJOVIC. Rf in straight sets.
• Karlovic Versus Youzhny – 2 old guys probably one or both last WIMBLEDON.
• Monfil vs . Gasquet. Oh man this is going to be magnificent. Whatever court this match is in will be packed. Two amazing FRENCH players. Both super talented in their own ways. Don’t want to choose winner.
• Ruben Bemelmans Against Stevie Johnson. It’s going to be a battle. But the lefty Belgian looked totally awesome working his way thru the qualifying rounds for the hundredth time? Ruben in 4. Maybe 5. But Ruben.
• The toughest first round that could literally be a finals. Ready we saved the best for last:
• Grigor Dimitrov plays returning SWISS Star Stan The Man Wawrinka. Whatever court my guess number one court. Will be packed • a 5 setter going to?
ACHOO… I can’t smell all the beautiful flowers around the grounds of the All England Club. Everything looks truly splendid. The tourney is so precise. Each person employed there whether it’s full time, part time, or tourney time takes great pride in being there.
I did not attend last year. I hadn’t realised how much I missed it till I came back.
